Alisha Bond, Secretary

Mrs. Alisha Bond was elected to ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ board in 2024. She has a B.S. in Communications, a JD and an MBA. Alisha has worked as a civil litigation and transactional attorney for the past 15 years. She is also a proud military spouse. Alisha and her family moved to Colorado Springs 3 years ago and her children have been a part of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ since 2021. She loves to volunteer her time and actively participates in various capacities throughout the school. She is a leader who gets things done and has an unwavering belief in the value of the charter education system. Alisha and her family chose ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ for the conservative classical education curriculum and she truly believes that maintaining those values in school and at home are paving the way to helping her children achieve success in all areas of life. Having children who will be students in the school system for many years to come, Alisha has a keen interest in maximizing the effectiveness of the school and enjoys working collaboratively to solve problems for the students and families in the school she loves!

Austyn Callahan, Director

Mr. Austyn Callahan was elected to ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ board in 2025. ÌýA proud Colorado native, Austyn was born on Fort Carson and began attending ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ as a kindergartener in 2000. ÌýHe graduated in 2013 and later returned to serve the school as a staff member from 2018 to 2025, most recently as the Director of Information Technology. ÌýHe also coached both boys and girls high school tennis for one year during his time on staff.

Austyn holds a double major in Business Management and Mathematics from Bethany College in Kansas and earned his M.S. in Information Systems with a specialization in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from the University of Colorado Denver. ÌýHe currently works as a cybersecurity specialist for a defense contractor, supporting national security efforts through information security and risk management.

He is married to a fellow ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ alumna, and together they have three daughters – their oldest will be entering first grade at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ in the 2025–2026 school year. ÌýAustyn is passionate about preserving and advancing the mission of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ. ÌýAs both a former student and staff member, he brings a deep historical perspective to the board and values the school’s classical model of education and commitment to character development.

Eric Katzung, Treasurer

Mr. Eric Katzung was elected to the board in 2024.Ìý He is married to Dava, and they have three children enrolled at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ.Ìý Eric has a BBA in Business Finance and Entrepreneurship.Ìý He currently is helping lead a high-tech blockchain start-up company.Ìý Eric also is leading a global enterprise network with about 600 businesses.Ìý He lived in Taiwan for 10 years studying Mandarin Chinese while teaching English and helping launch an Industrial IoT business.Ìý My desire is that ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ students would be recognized for their strong character and significant contributions in all their current and future ventures and academic pursuits. ÌýAs I have learned more about ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ over the past several years, I believe the families, teachers and staff are our greatest assets to realize these desired outcomes. ÌýI hope to contribute to the mission of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ as a servant leader, compassionate listener, and strategic thinker.Ìý It is a privilege to serve ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ community as a board member.Ìý

Eric Koppisch, President

Mr. Koppisch was elected to the board in 2022. He has been actively involved in the school community as a ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ parent since 2013. He currently has children at all campuses of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ. Eric has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from TexasÌýA&M University and a M.B.A. from California State University at Bakersfield. He currently works as an engineer for Space Systems Command of the US Space Force at Peterson SFB. Eric firmly believes in the classical approach to education and the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ focus on character building. He believes the education at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ prepares students to excel at all levels and provides them the skills needed for success.

Dr. Kurt Peters, Vice President
Kurt Peters

Dr. Kurt Peters joined the board following the May 2019 election.Ìý He has two children enrolled in ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ who started at the school in kindergarten.Ìý Kurt has a B.S., an M.S., and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with specialties in optics and communications. He retired as a Colonel in the USAF Reserves in May 2018.Ìý His last Reserve assignment was as IMA to the Site Commander and Director of Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicles Directorate, at Kirtland Air Force Base.Ìý He currently is a Chief Engineer at SAIC, performing research and development for the Department of Defense.Ìý He has taught at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, and volunteers as a committee member for students seeking graduate degrees.Ìý Kurt is married to Dr. Traci Peters, an optometrist practicing in the local area.Ìý Kurt looks to increase focus on STEM at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ and bolster student engagement in information technology.
